Selling deaths
Put your death up for sale and get paid in items. Commands and conditions of the Sell Dead system.
Selling deaths has always been popular in Kovloria, but players used to get cheated: the seller took the payment and logged out before the deal. The Sell Dead system makes sure both sides get what they agreed on: the server takes the payment from the buyer, moves both characters to a closed death field and hands the items to the right person.
Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
!deadsell | shows the system commands |
!deadsell"NAME:AMOUNT | lists your death for items, e.g. !deadsell"Premium Points Scroll:2; a new offer replaces the previous one |
!deadsell"CANCEL | cancels your offer |
!deadshow | shows the offers of players who are online right now, with their current level |
!deadbuy"NICK | buys a player's death; you must carry the required items in your backpack |
All three commands share one limit: one use every 20 seconds.
Conditions
- Characters from level 400 can sell their death, and only a character with a lower level than the seller can buy it.
- The payment can be any movable item without charges or duration (not a fluid container), in a whole number of pieces.
- The buyer pays with ordinary pieces from the backpack (including containers inside it). Equipped items and items with unique points do not count.
- Neither side may have a battle status or the NONPVP status, or be in a CTF game or in the barbarian arena.
- Only one deal at a time runs on the server. Offers are not saved and disappear when the server restarts.
How the deal goes
After !deadbuy the server takes the payment and moves both characters to a closed death field where you cannot log out. The buyer has 300 seconds to kill the seller, and during that time the seller cannot cast any spells or use runes.
- The buyer kills the seller: the seller gets the payment into the backpack after coming back to the game, and the buyer returns to the temple.
- The seller kills the buyer: the buyer gets the payment back after coming back to the game, and the seller returns to the temple.
- 300 seconds pass or either side logs out: the deal is cancelled, both return to the temple and the buyer gets the payment back right away. The offer goes back on the list unless the seller logged out.
If there is no room in your backpack, the items wait on the server and reach you at your next login once you make room. Nothing is dropped on the ground.
Before you sell
- A kill on the death field is an ordinary PvP kill: the buyer gets a frag and may get a skull.
- The seller loses experience like after any death. Wear blessings and an amulet of loss (AoL), because the corpse stays on the death field and items that drop into it will not come back to you.
